Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging, also called sonography, uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the inside of the body so that trained technicians can diagnose various conditions and damage to organs and tissues. Ultrasound exams are painless, safe, non-invasive and they do not use radiation. Ultrasound exams can also be used for image-guided biopsies and drains.

We offer general ultrasounds, as well as vascular ultrasounds, onsite in our state-of-the-art offices in Gainesville, Georgia. Ultrasounds are used to examine many parts of the body:

  • Heart and blood vessels
  • Liver
  • Gallbladder
  • Uterus
  • Thyroid
  • Kidneys
  • Bladder
  • Spleen
  • And more!

Gainesville Radiology Group’s board-certified radiologists ensure efficient ultrasound readings so that test results are accurate and communicated to the patient in a timely manner. We are continually evaluating and improving technology and advances in imaging so that we can provide the best care possible to our patients.
