Alkesh A. Amin, MD
Dr. Amin joined Gainesville Radiology Group in 2020. A native of Chattanooga, TN, he completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at Harvard University in 2005. Dr. Amin earned his medical degree with high honors from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in 2010 and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed a transitional year internship at the University of Texas in Austin, TX. He then did his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD and the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL. He underwent further fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology, also at the University of Chicago. He is dual board certified in both diagnostic and interventional radiology, granted by the American Board of Radiology, and is an active member of the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, and Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Amin performs the full range of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, embolization, and ablation, and has special interest in regional cancer therapy. He was previously in private practice in Chicago, IL. In his free time, he enjoys golf, tennis, and travel.
